International Research Internship Opportunities at Friedrich Schiller University Jena

We are pleased to announce two research traineeship opportunities at Friedrich Schiller University Jena for the upcoming winter semester and would appreciate it if you could share this call with eligible students and your Career Service.

Duration: 3 months, starting on 15 October 2026

Location: Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany

Application deadline: 25 August 2026


Selected interns will be enrolled as guest students for the duration of their stay. Further information is available here.

The receiving institution will provide supervision, academic support, and the necessary facilities and equipment.

Please note that trainees are responsible for covering all costs related to their stay, arranging their own accommodation, and obtaining valid health insurance. The University does not provide liability insurance; depending on the internship activities (e.g. laboratory work or use of IT equipment), we recommend arranging appropriate coverage before arrival.
