  • Konstantinos Prouskas

Research interests
  • Electrical and optical properties of materials and devices. Properties of materials and devices at cryogenic temperatures. Structural, morphological and chemical characterization of electronic materials. Composition, characterization and evaluation of low dimensional materials (thin films, surfaces, quantum dots and wires, carbon nanotubes, nanoparticles) for electronic, optoelectronic and photonic devices. Design and fabrication of devices such as sensors, photovoltaics (silicon, organic, dye-sensitized), solar panels, light emitting diodes, etc.

Equipment & facilities
  • Electromagnet (max magnetic field 2 Tesla) and cryostat (min temperature 1.2 K).
  • Characterization of materials by X-ray techniques: Diffraction, reflectivity, Fluorescence, Photoelectron Spectroscopy
  • Electrical and optical characterization of devices: optical reflectivity, solar simulator, photoluminescence, cryostat, SMU multimeters, etc .
