Professor A. Avgeropoulos is Head of the Department.
Professor S. Agathopoulos is Associate Head of the Department.
Head of Secretariat is Mrs. Maria Kontou.

Decisions related to functional, education and research issues of the Department are resolved in the General Assembly (G.A.). Meetings of the G.A. take place regularly and are chaired by the Head of the Department. The G.A. consists of the faculty members as well as representatives of the non-faculty staff (research and technical).
